Welcome to All That Remains, an AU The Walking Dead, open world RPG site.
Our story is based loosely on the TV show, with a few canon characters still alive that died in the show.
We are a brand new community that is in need for members to fill many available canon roles in order to advance our plot.
Our plot takes place sometime after season five, but is AU partially in the fact that this is the story of what would've
happened had they not found Alexandria.
We welcome anyone to join and build a community based off of The Walking Dead fandom!
If you are considering joining us, please read up on our plot and rules first to inform yourself about the
role playing of this site! Quick links to the important information of this site can be found below this welcome
text. Thank you, and please enjoy your visit!
There has been an update in staff members.
I want to welcome the newest addition to the team, Aimless!
After some discussion it has been decided it would be best for her to be the Co-Administrator and
help me run the place. As co-admin she will help me with the functioning of the site, advertise, and
accept & approve of new members! Thank you for accepting the position Aimless!
Change is coming, and All That Remains is going to be revived better than it was before!
If you haven't read the thread I've posted yet, please do so now! Boards will be cleaned up,
inactive accounts will be sorted through, and abandoned canons will reopen. A new skin has been added
courtesy of Aimless! Also, a big THANK YOU to all of my loyal members! I can't do it without you!

"Yeah it never is easy, is it," Merle said shaking his head. "Dam RV needs to be cleaned too, mold on the inside. Can smell it." He folded his arms and stepped back. "Alright, can you check the fuel gage. How much does this thing have anyway? RV like this, gas guzzler. We have less than half a tank, we'll need more or can only go about two hours unless. Bette Rhode Rick and Darlene found a good spot to move on to."
He waited, pausing. "We could grab another battery if it's big enough, think 12 cylinder. He'll four golf carts batteries can run it. If you can make them fit. Can't say I know how to hook them up though, just one."
He unfolded his arms. "I still think a couple small guys. SUVs, trucks. We ain't all gonna fit in the RV anyway. So we'll need two vehicles." He paused. "Plus look at this thing. It's a rust bucket. Nothing there, falling apart, moldy. Got more holes in it than I do." He didn't want to take the RV, and was trying to make his point clear.
"Tell yah what. We find the next car, and I'll fix it up. Odds are there is one or two stuck here. Hell Imsaw five on the street. Simple, easier to get running."
The more Merle talked the less enthusiastic Beth felt about the RV. It looked like there was more problems than she expected and it would take to much time and effort to get the RV done. Merle seemed to think it would be easier to look for other vehicles and just split the group up in cars.
Beth couldn't really fight with that logic. She checked the fuel and it didn't look like there was a lot of fuel left and Beth felt even more deflated. Merle went on offer other options while putting more holes in her RV plan and she sighed. "I guess you are right," Beth said with a small frown. She wasn't sure why she was so fixed in the RV idea but she jut wanted to have an idea and a plan and make it work. She wanted to offer more to the group.
It was nice of Merle to offer to fix the next car though. He was being awfully good right now and she was grateful for that. "Oh well...maybe we'll have more luck with the next one then." Beth shrugged and grabbed Merle's arm to pull him with her as she moved. This was just bump in the plan. They could and would do better.
"I'll let you pick the next one. You know about cars way better than me anyway," Beth said throwing Merle a quick smile.
ooc: it's fine. Mine is not long either and it took me ages to write it. Just too sick to think lol. We should get these two on some trouble, what do you think?
He could see she was bummed out about the plan not working out. But shit happened. It was happening now. Plans didn't always work out. They had to get through it, that was it. Merle grinned. "Eh, don't beat yourself up kid. It was a good plan, but maybe something easier this time." He smirked, "that work for yah?"
He didn't know if it would, and honestly didn't care. Righ now she set his mind on finding a vehicle for the group, so he would do just that. "Alright, so way I see it. We grab some SUVs, maybe a mini van, there's a lot of us we'll need eight passengers seat rides for sure. Now Daryl and Rick aren't here, so that's two less. Now sure Abraham can sit on your lap, but I'd rather get comfy."
He looked at the RV again. "It was a good idea, we could get most of us. But I think we'd still need at least one other vehicle. Tell yah what. Saw some soccer mom vans down the street. We can use some of those. Nice minivan, load all the kids into it." He chuckled to himself. Turning and walking back into the street he hoped Beth followed.
He came up by a van just down from where they were. It was a dirty van, windows all covered in dirt. As he went to whipe the glass a walker bit at the glass where his hands were. It couldn't break through but it cause him to jump. He looked at the van. Suburban walker mom in seat, two figures in the back he only assumed was her kids.
"Wonder how they died? Think they were bit?" He tapped the glass and all three of the van walkers growled and tried to claw at the glass. "Van's unlocked at least." He paused. "Pull it open, I'll stab the first one. Then we moved to the back."
Beth shrugged nodding. She was disappointed but she would get over it. There was no real time to overthink things or plans anyway and if Merle's idea was better than she would gladly follow his lead. "Sounds like a plan," Beth flashed a smile at him. "Thank you, Merle."
She appreciated the effort he was making. He could easily dismiss her idea as being silly and just tell her to get over it, but no. He was being really and offering her options instead of just shutting her down completely. Beth was really thankful for that. It was very thoughtful of Merle.
Beth gave Merle her full attention as he offered the alternative with SUVs or maybe a mini van. Beth's face opened into a big smile. "A mini van sounds like a great idea," she nodded in agreement and then frowned at the Abraham joke. "Thanks but no thanks," she said making a face and then chuckled. "I'll let Rosita handle Abraham," Beth remarked and shook her head lightly.
"You're right. The minivan sounds like a really good solution and hopefully it'll be easier to get it started," Beth reasoned as she followed Merle towards the street where he had seen the vehicles. If those cars were parked there as long as the RV was it was likely they would have the same battery or fuel problems but like Merle had said before it was probably easier to find solutions to those problems than to the RV ones.
Merle spotted the minivan and Beth looked around as they approached the vehicle. It was dirty just like most of the vehicles they came across which mean it was there for a while. After Merle whipped the glass they noticed the walkers and Beth tightened the grip on her knife. In the front seat there was a woman and two smaller figures were in the back. Beth's heart sunk in her chest and she almost missed Merle's question about how they had died.
"It seems strange that they just stay there," Beth commented quietly. If they had been bitten the odds were the mother would have consumed the children or something equally gross. "Maybe she killed the kids and committed suicide? Like with poison or something?" she speculated as she looked through the dirty window. She couldn't see any major wounds on the woman or the kids. Suddenly she felt the scar on her wrist throb.
Beth pursed her lips, pushing back the memories of her old self and looked at Merle. "Alright. I'll open on three," she muttered when he told her to open the driver's door so they would kill the first walker, the woman. Beth tried not to think about the children in the back and whether she would have the stomach to put them down. They would need to bury those people. Beth knew she wouldn't be okay with just leaving them lying on the side of the road. She just wasn't sure how Merle would take that idea.
She moved closer to the driver's door. "One, two and ..." Beth opened the door and the walker launched out of the van towards Merle. The woman was skinny and in an advanced stage of decomposition. It would be easily to take it down, even Beth who was way smaller than Merle could take that one out.
"Alright let's go," he said with a grin. "And don't mention it, I call it as it is. If you had a good plan it's a good plan. Even if not though through. You're a dreamer Beth, I like that. Just don't go around tellin people I'm soft now. Might ruin my reputation," he laughed as he kept walking. It had been a good idea. Escapes vehicles were always needed.
He was glad that she agreed to a Mini-van or SUV. Not that he cared. They'd grab one regardless. Spotting one and finding one he continued to examine the bodies. Wasn't the first one who just died in the car. Wouldn't be the last. Seems lots died in cars, probably bit and trying to flee. But three all at once, was suspicious.
"You're right, could be poison. Could have been to scared to move, didn't know what to do. They look younger than you. All that matter is we get a ride right. Ain't about what's inside. If there's walkers st least we know it should have some gas, someone tried to drive it. Unless that's how they got trapped. Couldn't move so they just died."
He shook his head. It could have been anything for all he knew. "Yeah suicide. Pussies way out. Who the hell try's to off themselves when you can keep fighting. Hell even the whimp of a brother in law of yours didn't do that. If they did they might have a weapon, maybe a gun. Easy pickings for us."
She said she'd pull the door open on three. When she started to count he got ready. Kept his blade hooked to his stump aimed at the window. When's he reached the countdown and pulled it open a woman lunged out. She had been wearing her seat belt andnitntore through her chest. Blood spilled out, but it didn't stop her from moving forward, top torso coming to get him.
He jabbed the knife in the top of her skull and watched the body fall down dead. Looking back at the car the other two bodies growled and reached out, but didn't come to get them. They were trapped as well, pinned. They had been tied down, handcuffed to the doors at back. He reached in and stabbed the first one, then the next. The bodies would have to be removed, but st least they had a van.
"Get in and see if it starts. We can pull them out later. Need to check the hood."
He walked around to the front a popped it open. All parts there, oil good. May have gotten lucky. "Need help moving the body?"
