Welcome to All That Remains, an AU The Walking Dead, open world RPG site.
Our story is based loosely on the TV show, with a few canon characters still alive that died in the show.
We are a brand new community that is in need for members to fill many available canon roles in order to advance our plot.
Our plot takes place sometime after season five, but is AU partially in the fact that this is the story of what would've
happened had they not found Alexandria.
We welcome anyone to join and build a community based off of The Walking Dead fandom!
If you are considering joining us, please read up on our plot and rules first to inform yourself about the
role playing of this site! Quick links to the important information of this site can be found below this welcome
text. Thank you, and please enjoy your visit!
There has been an update in staff members.
I want to welcome the newest addition to the team, Aimless!
After some discussion it has been decided it would be best for her to be the Co-Administrator and
help me run the place. As co-admin she will help me with the functioning of the site, advertise, and
accept & approve of new members! Thank you for accepting the position Aimless!
Change is coming, and All That Remains is going to be revived better than it was before!
If you haven't read the thread I've posted yet, please do so now! Boards will be cleaned up,
inactive accounts will be sorted through, and abandoned canons will reopen. A new skin has been added
courtesy of Aimless! Also, a big THANK YOU to all of my loyal members! I can't do it without you!
There has been an update in staff members.
I want to welcome my newest addition to the team, Pip!

and answering questions! Thank you for accepting the position, Pip!
Thank you to everyone who has showed interest thus far in the site.
I am currently trying to build a community, and I intend to fill the open
staff positions by active and trustworthy members of the site eventually.
Thank you, and happy role playing!

The small suburb was quiet. The apocalypse would do that. The chill of the wind bite through Moriah’s clothes, a telling sign that winter was coming soon. They’d have to move south, and quickly if they wanted to beat the snow. Deep in the small woods behind her, the two small boys were safe and warm. At least for now. Moriah had to move quickly to make it back to them. She moved swiftly between the houses, not many Walkers around, and many of the houses seemed to be untouched. It was perfect.
At least for a few days.
Moriah headed back toward the woods, running as quickly as she dared as to not make any mistakes that would get her killed. She maneuvered around a few walkers, pausing only a moment to take care of them so she wouldn’t have to in front of the boys. Seconds later, she was sprinting into the woods.
***
It only took minutes for Moriah to round up the boys and get them back to the houses. She made them stop momentarily at the edge of the woods, teaching them to caution what looked safe, before leading them to one of the houses. Together the three snuck around the back. Moriah tried one of the windows, and luckily enough it was open. Then again, how many people decided to lock their windows before they got sick? None.
Ushering the boys through the window, Moriah followed quickly. Shutting the window behind her and locking it, she stood and surveyed the back room of the house. She put a finger to her lips, “Stay here, and be quiet”, she whispered. “I’ll be right back.” With that she moved to go explore the rest of the house, pulling out her butterfly knife as she did so.

Never Give up Never Surrender
Ida had been traveling for what she thought felt like forever, and decided it was time to find a place to rest for the night. Her body was sore and ached, and although she wanted to keep pushing on, the sun was close to setting and she knew it'd be suicide to do so. She was trying her hardest to escape the oncoming winter, but had a ways to go before she was in southern territory.
She had started in Wisconsin with her group of survivors, though they each had got picked off one by one and she was left the last one standing. Ida felt she was cursed to live out the rest of her days alone, constantly scavenging and looking for places to take refuge. Never in her life before did she realize there was a difference between being alive and surviving until now.
Ida was in the upstairs bedroom of a home she had found in a city that she had just came across after a day of being on the road. She felt weird being in someone else's bedroom, but knew these people had to be long gone by now, and she needed what they had left behind to survive. Everything in this post apocalyptic world seemed like free game. Ida pulled back the covers on the bed and snuggled in, the last time she had a real bed to sleep in was a very long time ago, and as she closed her eyes she tried her hardest to pretend the world was back to normal and she'd wake up and everything would be fine again as she drifted into sleep.
•••
Ida awoke started, she could hear people moving around in the downstairs of the house. Probably the best skill she picked up in this new world was how to be a light sleeper. She could feel her heart beating frantically and she tried her best to soundlessly get out of the bed and grab her gun and knife. She'd rather whatever be downstairs be walkers instead of people. Since all of this happened, there were occasions where she was almost raped by groups of men that had came across her. The apocalypse had a way of bringing out the worst colors of humanity.
She slipped downstairs to see who had invaded the place just like she had. Ida felt a little relieved to see a female walk past the stair case as she peered down the stairs, and from the sounds of it she had children with her. Figuring that this situation posed a lower risk of her being harmed she decided to make her presence known. She quietly walked down the stairs and walked in the room the other woman was in. Ida cleared her throat to make her presence known. "Hey." She said to the other woman, hoping this encounter would be a friendly one.
The house was larger than Moriah had expected it to be. The room she had left the kids in seemed to be the back family room, though much of it had looked like it had been ransacked. She tried to think of who could have done that. After the outbreak? Or had it been the previous owners trying to escape certain death? Either way, no one seemed to be here now, and that was exactly what Moriah wanted.
She slipped quietly toward the front of the house. She found the kitchen and quickly rummaged through some of the cabinets. There wasn’t much, but there was definitely enough… at least for a night or two. After finding the food, Moriah quickly finished her search of the downstairs. As she moved past the stairwell to the second story, she made a mental note that she needed to go check that out. But first, she was going to check on the boys. They were her first priority, and she hated leaving them out of her sight for any amount of time, even to check the place they were going to be crashing.
She moved back into the family room, were Gage and Eli waited for her. Neither of them had moved so much as an inch after she left. She smiled at the both of them. “You’ve both been good?” she asked, and the two nodded quickly. “Well good… I have to check up-”
Moriah was caught off by another female voice. She whirled around to face the newcomer. At the same time, she pulled boys protectively behind her and held the butterfly knife at the stranger. The girl standing across from her seemed to be about Moriah’s age, and she didn’t look like she had a weapon. Moriah wasn’t about to take that for granted. She hated assuming the worst of people, but that was the fact of the new world.
What else took her by surprise was the fact that the other girl literally just greeted her. For a moment, Moriah didn’t know how to react. Instinct told her not to worry, but fear told her trust no one. Instead of a greeting, Moriah said instead, “Are you alone?” She couldn’t be sure the other girl wouldn’t lie to her, but for the sake of her humanity, Moriah had to give her the chance.

Never Give up Never Surrender
When she entered the room she had no idea the other female was traveling with children until she saw the woman protectively put herself between Ida and the kids. The other woman held up a knife to her, but because of the circumstances of this world, Ida did not take offense to it. The woman in front of her was probably the mother to these two boys, and they were probably alone, struggling to survive the evils that existed now both in alive and undead form.
"I'm alone, and I mean you no harm." Ida spoke softly to the woman. There was a lot of people that were tainted with evil by the downfall of civilization but Ida refused to be one of those people and was willing to prove it to the other female. She unsheathed her knife that was on her hip, hidden by her hoodie, and grabbed the gun she had stuck in her back pocket to hide it. With her weapons made known and out in the open, she set them on the side table that was beside her where she stood in the door way of the room.
Once she was fully disarmed she looked back at the woman and what she assumed were her kids and continued talking. "My name is Ida, and you? This isn't my place, I actually broke into it seeking refuge probably just like you guys have." She said hoping her actions would ease these people into trusting her, if this woman proved herself as trustworthy then maybe Ida would finally have another traveling partner as she had spent so long braving the world by herself. Everyone she ever traveled with had all died, and if she did end up merging with these people then she promised to protect them even if it meant her death, because the loneliness she was living in now was slowly killing her anyways.
330 | Moriah Jonasen | Sorry it took so long. Life was insane for a while.
Moriah watch the other girl carefully as she pulled out a knife and gun, then set them carefully on the side table near the door. Moriah hadn’t completely believed that the other girl didn’t want to harm her, but when she removed all of her weapons, Mori couldn’t help but put some faith in the woman’s word. Flicking the butterfly knife back around to shut it, Moriah slid it into her back pocket and put a hand up to show the other girl she’d honor their ‘no killing the other’ truce.
When the other girl introduced herself, Moriah couldn’t help but smile. She was too exhausted for a fight today. “Moriah,” she responded, still smiling. “And yeah… We’ve been looking for a safe place to sleep some for a few days.” Moriah looked down at the boys for a moment. The two little ones had circles under their eyes, and though they were definitely wide awake, Moriah could tell that the minute they found a soft spot to lay down, they’d be out like lights, easily for a good couple of hours.
Looking back up at Ida, Moriah first put a hand on the oldest boy’s shoulder. “This is Gage,” she began, and then put her arm around the younger boy’s shoulder before continuing, “and this little monster is Eli.” For all it was worth, introducing the two boys was a huge leap of faith. Usually she wasn’t one to explain the boys at all, and generally like to deal with other people and leave them out of it. She looked down at Gage at that point, and said quietly, “Go on and take your brother to explore a bit okay?” Silently Gage took his brother’s hand and they hurried past Ida and into the house. Moriah figured that if Ida had been here, the rest of the house was safe.
Moriah waited until the boys were out of earshot before sighing tiredly. She didn’t like to show the boys her moments of weakness, so the very few times they weren’t around, everything kind of caved in all at once. Pinching the bridge of her nose for a moment, Moriah looked at Ida. “If you don’t mind me asking, why are you alone? Most people are at least traveling in two’s by now…” she asked. She wondered if Ida may have actually had some one with her in the house, but that didn’t seem very likely at this point. If she did they would have made themselves known by now.
